About LDCR
Hi - Im Jo
I’m a cyclist, retired triathlete, kit-carrier, and founder of Lake District Cycle Recovery. I set this up for riders like me: the ones who love big rides, brutal climbs, and sometimes find themselves stranded halfway up a mountain pass, or down a lonely Cumbrian lane with only the sheep in the field for company.
My van’s packed with refreshments, snacks, local knowledge — and yes, even a toilet (for the ladies, Guys, you need to find a tree).
This isn’t a taxi service, I'm there to recover your bike and you with it after a mechanical failure or accident, I don’t offer taxi for riders. But, and this is exceptional cases only, if you completely feel unwell, or weather conditions have taken a serious turn, I’ll always do what I can to help — rider to rider.
Please note: LDCR provides cycle recovery and roadside support only. Any personal assistance offered is at my sole discretion, informal, and not part of a commercial passenger service. Riders remain responsible for their own transport and welfare.
